ABOUT GEZ TAYLOR

Gez is an international artist that lives in Cornwall. His career spans 25 years. During this time he has painted for Royalty, worked in Palaces, castles, private homes and 5 star hotels all over the world. He has also painted public art pieces and run public art projects.

Each mural is custom designed to sit perfectly in its setting.

Besides creating the best artwork that he is capable of Gez believes that there are 2 things that have ensured his success.
- Have a good rapport with the designer/ client.
- Deliver the work by the agreed time.

When Gez is not working on his projects he paints canvases purely for his own enjoyment.

This project was a community based public art scheme comprising of 7 individual projects at the Wolesley trust business park in Keyham, Plymouth. Carried out in 1997, the work surrounds the 25 units on walls, fences and in the grounds. The Trust was supported by EU funding as a bid to regenerate areas of the city which have suffered with the decline of the Naval Dockyard.
The success of the art project is mainly due to Gez's skills and professionalism. His leadership qualities enabled him to communicate and work with various ages, groups and artists.
His professional skills enabled him to develop national and local business links to provide sponsorship. A combination of these skills ensured a successful and valued public art.
The design and art work speaks for itself. The majority of the work is accessible to the public.It has been there for 5 years and suffered no vandalism in that time. This is a measurement of the arts quality and the result of having involved the local community at each stage.
